Mwah! Harry Dx

(aka Mama Red)

Long Way to Redemption is almost 'concept album' in nature. It weaves together a 21st Century narrative, exploring social issues, sexism and intersectional feminism, prescription drug abuse, grief and intergenerational trauma, environmental trauma, loss and betrayal. It has a fierce, burn it down vibe, cut cleanly but painfully by some Mama Red melancholy.

The album pulls heavily on new-folk, country rock feels, but it also brings in some of that cheeky retro-pop that we’re a little known for. We like to call it Australian Gothic. It's a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll... and a whole lot of grit and determination.
